One exception I used in the past was MAC's eyeliner gel that came in little pots. It would last all day and wouldn't melt off like other liners!! Their angled thin eyeliner brush was perfect too (I still have mine!)

Honestly NYX brow glue is the best. And very affordable. Better than my Mac. If you want something from Sephora then benefit brow gel

I like the benefit one. I get the mini because I can never use all my brow gels before they're gross anyways (I also use Mac's brow set and a clear tube is an eye opener), I toss my brow gels every few months.

Brow gel ranking: 1. Absidy Beauty 2. Mac Cosmetics (Not as long lasting, but feels lighter than Absidy. No weird white flakes. I just can’t justify it for it’s price point.) 3. GRWM (Weird white flakes, feels sticky pag napapawisan/oily, not long lasting at all, nagmumukhang sad yung brows ko!) 4. Brow gel from watsons (Same as GRWM but worse … Used a few times then never again) Hope this helps, OP!

I went to Ulta and an employee there recommended me to use the MAC clear gel but it doesn't have the same waxy strength as a bar of soap.

MAC clear brow gel was always great. But I don’t feel the need to spend all that money on clear brow gel. Honestly.. My favorite that I’ve been using for years? ELF Clear Brow Gel. Keeps them in place all day and night, no flaking either.

I have dark coarse eyebrow hairs, and I use MAC. It doesn’t look like there’s a gel at all and lasts until I wash it off. It has a light and could build to a medium hold, depending on how you apply it. I usually just brush straight up and away from the midline of my face. You could also go against the grain to coat the whole hair then brush in the direction you want
