I got the Braun Silk Pro 5 and I’ve been using this since late February to remove the hair on my legs, chest, stomach, and face. On my legs, stomach and chest it’s practically eliminated all the hair besides a couple spots that I expect to also be gone in the next month or two. I’m literally smoother than my cis girlfriends are and now they want to get one too 🤣 I’ve also been using it on my face, even though people said it wouldn’t work, and it’s gotten rid of my cheek and sideburn hair and i have very little on my neck now. My chin and mustache are more resistant but i’m still seeing much less density there too. I was totally expecting it not to work for those areas bc i didn’t find a single review or post saying it worked. the more I looked into the science of IPL I realized that you have to use it MUCH longer than the instructions say when it comes to your face so I’m thinking people give up before it works. I’m going to continue using it on my chin / mustache and I think it might actually fully remove it. But either way, if it stops where it is at now, it’s still sooooo much better than it was and if I end up having to get full laser then I don’t think I’ll need as many sessions bc of how much density I lost in those areas. Even if you get clinical laser removal it still takes like close to a year to finish sessions.. so it makes sense that a weaker home device would also need that long. So if any of you girlies aren’t getting laser yet bc of the price, try out the braun IPL or other IPL ( i read there are a couple better than the braun I got ). Very worth the price if your skin type and hair color is a good match for IPL!! For my schedule, at first I did my legs and face 2x a week (they recommend 1x a week) but you MUST be very consistent with spf sun block and lotion so your skin doesn’t suffer. Slowly work up to a frequency that gives your skin time to heal between sessions. Now I only do my legs/chest/stomach once a week and I’ll probably be able to cut that down to 1x a month soon once these last hairs are gone. My face I am still doing 2x a week but might move down to 1x a week soon bc the mustache and chin hairs seem to be dying out 🥰 Not bad for $300. Saved me thousands in hair removal. Highly recommend if you can stick to the time consuming schedule!!
