Editorial Summary: Nood IPL device? Works if you stick with it, especially on pits and bikini. Takes forever on legs tho. Can burn if you go too high or rush. Skin tone and hair color matter big time. Some folks love it, others got burns or meh results. Budget-friendly but build can be iffy. Worth a try if you want cheaper DIY IPL but patience is key.

I’ve had the flasher for 2 years now. It worked very well on my legs, but I do need to use it every now and then when I notice my hair is growing back. It grows back around my knees (front and back) most frequently and is very fine and sparse everywhere else. As far as frequency, I don’t really know, maybe 4-6 months? Mostly I can spot shave and it’s fine and when I have to start shaving close to every other day I do a couple treatments. It worked best on the lower half of my knees below my knees. Above my knees and nearly everywhere else is more stubborn. Under my arms is thinner but it’s never completely removed it. I’m mostly ok with that since my hair was so dark that when I shaved you could see it under my skin and I was self conscious. It definitely improved the dark shadow (which was not the darkened skin some people get from shaving). I found my chin to be very stubborn, unfortunately. I tag teamed it with the Tria Beauty laser which is probably what actually worked. Overall, it makes my life easier. I’d still buy it again. Edit: I recall now that it is counting down by two for every flash. I’d bet that any IPL would work. So I’d be willing to try any IPL if I had to buy again. I haven’t tried another, but I don’t think the Nood brand specifically stands out from another based on a friend’s experience with another brand. They also didn’t completely pay out referrals I earned so who knows what other shady practices they participate in as a company. I’m still a little salty, but in the end the device worked enough for me by allowing me to shave less frequently. Update 2: 5/17/24 I got to the point of needing to shave every day and after one treatment I’m back to smooth legs again
