Ulike IPL Hair Removal

I’m contemplating between the ulike air 10 and the ulike X and was wondering if anybody’s used either of them before. The ulike x appeals to me because it’s marketed towards men and since my hair is so dense and dark I think it might work better.

Burn is a risk of IPLs, the issue with devices that have cooling is they will to some degree be masking the fact that you’re burning yourself and a less likely to discover till your session is done. A lot of people will hard defend the cooling and "that you can feel it through so it’s not a risk at all", however pain serves an important purpose, as evidently seen here. Ulike’s own account is usually omnipresent any time a post on Ulike pops up, lets see what they say edit: Forgot to add to my knowledge your skintone is too dark to be a candidate for IPL, however as far as I remember Ulike includes your skin tone, which was surprising. Again, with IPL burns are a risk and this is definitely a burn

Glad it worked for you. I used it 3x/week for 9 weeks on the highest setting…nothing. Not a single difference in underarms, face, legs. Then, when I wrote for a return, they first wanted me to keep using it for 6-8 weeks, and when I said no, they offered me a 60% refund to keep the device, then after I said no AGAIN, they finally emailed me a return label. I’ll be using the refund for laser.

I’ve been using the Ulike air 10( C-product)—it’s comfortable to handle and works well for me.

Last year I tried the Ulike 10 for 3 months, using every 2 days in the first month and weekly after, as per the instructions. I used the highest settings and shaved just before each session. This is a photo of my knee after the 3 months. I noticed no difference in hair regrowth. I gave up and went back to my normal method of weekly epilating (I really hate shaving).

I’ve been using the Ulike Air3 on my toes for about 2 weeks now (twice per week), using the SHR setting since my hair on my feet are quite course. I also do the a small area on top of the foot (about 2 inches above the big toe). I only do 1 pass with SHR and it did absolutely nothing! I can still see the hair follicles there under the skin where I zapped (see pics, please excuse the ashy skin).

Yeah, those are burns. Did it hurt while using it? I think the device malfunctioned and went too bright, or the reflection cone behind the bulb is dented in a way that caused a more focused area of light. Either way, get her to contact Ulike, that’s not normal. Don’t use it again, burns like this can lead to cancer.

I’ve had my eye on the Ulike Air 10 IPL. I heard it had a pretty solid discount during Prime Day last year, so I’ve been watching it closely and hoping the deal this year won’t disappoint. I’ve got medium skin and dark hair, mostly looking to treat underarms and legs, just want something that actually works and isn’t a hassle.

The Ulike Air 10 has been an interesting addition to my routine this winter. During each session, the device feels cool against my skin. And after about five weeks of consistent use (twice a week), I noticed a reduction in hair growth, especially on my legs and arms.
