I am looking sadly at two things in my drawer: the Too Faced Better than Chocolate Palette, and the Clinique Black Honey lipstick. Neither of them really perform very well. I am especially disappointed in the Black Honey, because it should be really nice--it feels good going on, and the little bit of color is perfect, but it disappears so fast, and it sticks to any dry parts of my lip in an unattractive way. At the same time, it doesn't really do much for me in terms of moisturizing.

Black Honey has gone through a half dozen or so periods of popularity in my lifetime, and I fall for it every time and always regret it. It kind of does nothing

The Clinique black honey, I gave in to the hype. It does literally nothing for my lips, doesn't give me the subtle colour change it does everyone else and wears off within about an hour. I may as well wear a cheap lip balm and it gives me the same effect but would last longer and hydrate my lips. I suppose I'm glad I at least tried it?

I use Black Honey every single day, I love it so much and I don't care anymore for its "dupes"! Tbh I haven't found nothing that it's the same color *and* texture (and when the color is the same but the texture is identical, the color also looks different on the lips).
