a lot of glossier products have a major flaw. For POC, the amount of product that has to be deposited for color to show is INSANE. On both the swatch and my face, I have probably 3-5 swipes of Leo to get it to show at this shade, especially since my lips already skew a bit browner than pink.

For reference for others who might have this same issue, it seems like I’m able to wear dior lip glow, glossier lipsticks....I’m allergic to mac, ysl lip stain + lipsticks, chanel, kosas lip gloss (so "clean" beauty doesn’t work either), rom&nd... I think I’ve been able to wear pure lip stains (peripera) and get away with it ok

I don’t like the formula, it’s dry on the lips so I have to use clear lipgloss sometimes to keep my lips hydrated a little bit. Glossier reformulated the formula back in 2023 and I heard the new one is very bad so I don’t think I will repurchase again.

And then there’s Generation G. I have Crush and had Cake and fell head-over-heels in love with both. Cake was sincerely the best emphasizer for my naturally very pink lips, giving me the color I’ve always wanted and yearned for. I plan to purchase Like and re-purchase Cake as soon as they are restocked; price be damned, I like the ease and finish and find it worthwhile for me.
