NARS - Powermatte Lip Pigment

I don't see a lot of hype for these, but they're actually kinda amazing. They just came out last month I think. I was initially pretty hesitant to buy any because of a general lack of reviews and the high price tag, but y'all, I am IN LOVE. I think NARS really hit it out of the park with this one! I've tried almost every major liquid lipstick formula on the market and they all have issues that prevent me from wanting to return... they're either too tacky (J*), too dry (ColourPop), too fast to fade (NYX), too thin (KVD), too don't-stick-to-the-insides-of-my-lips (Stila), too crackly (ABH), you get the picture. Obviously a lot of those issues can be specific from person to person, but daaaaamn the new NARS lipstick is my favorite formula yet :)

I really like these! I have Slow Ride (warm pinky brown neutral) and Under My Thumb (berryish red). The formula really is something special. They have a nifty applicator that I can't quite describe. For me, the only drawbacks are they take a minute to set so you don't get the inner lip ring with no color, and they can be tricky to apply, especially the darker/ bolder colors. I recommend wiping off product and building up thin layers, otherwise it's really easy to go outside your lipline or get a wonky shape. Other than that, the colors are stunning, and the formula is super comfortable.

Thanks for posting this! I love love love the swatches for American Woman and Warm Leatherette, but have lipstick buying anxiety! Mostly from buying lipsticks that say they are long-wearing and transfer-proof but... aren't. How's the stay power? I'm looking for a lipstick for my wedding so it *cannot* move!

Nars power pigment lipstick. Comfortable, transfer proof and long-lasting.

Personally, I have powermatte lipstick (bullet) in color Mogador. I am in love with it. I never finished a lip product. I think this will be my first one!

I love wearing lipstick but hate the paranoia and reapplying. I have so many shades I like but the only kind of lipstick/stain I can wear worry free is NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment.(I have weird sensory issues.)

I have Ride This Way and it's so amazing! I'm usually afraid of mattes drying out my lips to the point where they look flaky and leathery, but Nars really hit it out of the ballpark! It's so long-lasting, I had it on all night and I ate fried chicken wings, had ice-cream, drank so much water and it was STILL there. Honestly what I really like it how well it tints your lips. At first, Ride This Way is a bright dark-tone pink that stands out. Then after I've eaten, it fades BEAUTIFULLY into this more muted, natural rose shade. I can barely feel it on my lips and I almost forget it's there! And it was really easy to remove. I would definitely recommend. :)
