Medicube Age-R Booster Pro

Multiple people have recommended the medicube, so that’s a definite and exactly the type of thing I was looking for.

After using it, my skin looks noticeably brighter and feels like it’s been sealed with a radiant coating. It’s the most intense of the three and can feel a bit harsh, especially if you use it on irritated or acne-prone skin—don’t do that! Sensitive skin folks should use this sparingly. If you have resilient or thicker skin, you’ll likely love it. Pair it with a Vitamin C ampoule (doesn’t have to be the same brand), and the results are amazing!

I bought my medicube devices before they became popular on TikTok. I swear by the Age-R Booster H. I've been using it religiously every night for about a year and a half. About 5 months into using it, I had a facial at biologique recherche and they use a machine to measure your skin barrier, elasticity and hydration. The technician told me my skin was better than a 12 year old who came in the week before! (This is in LA so of course a 12 year old is going to biologique recherche lol). The old version of it is on Amazon for $65 (I paid around $450 for the set of 4 devices). Personally, I think that device has been a game changer. I have combo skin and I don't generally break out or have sensitive skin if that matters for people who haven't had a good experience. Also, I'm in Seoul now and they sell the all in one device and exosome shots at Olive Young, which leads me to believe that they are popular here.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to test the Medicube Age-R Booster Pro, and oh my god.. the microcurrent is way beyond what I get with my Nuface! ... But even comparing my out-of-the-box Nuface experience to the Age-R Booster Pro, the Medicibe is way stronger. You can actually see your muscles contract. I used it next to my eye, and it makes the eyes wink.

I have purchased the medicube age r booster pro and been using it for just over 3 weeks and it has been really helpful. I see a little difference in skin texture and tone.

The Deep Shot I’ve had the longest and I think it’s my favourite. It uses RF and Ultrasound to cause basically a tiny bit of heat damage to the deeper layers of your skin. So it’s kind of like microneedling in that the skin creates more collagen to heal itself. I kind it the easiest to use because you’re not constantly moving it around. You do move it from place to place but it’s larger so it covers more space at once. You do need a conductive gel of some sort to make it work though so I usually put my skincare on first, then a thin layer of gel (they sell one that feels nice or you can just buy ultrasound gel) and I use a facial mist to re-dampen the gel if it gets too dry. I’ve been using their gel which has a nicer consistency and then I just pat in the leftovers before applying my moisturizer. Once I run out I’ll probably just use ultrasound gel but it doesn’t feel as nice and I’d want to wipe it off so I’d probably wait a bit after applying my skincare so it has time to soak in. I use this one 3 times a week

EMS / Derma Shot mode: I am very careful to only use this on my masseter and my forehead and I have to say I am very satisfied with the results. My forehead 11 lines tend to show because the muscles causing it bulge out. It's been like this for months and I've tried everything from face massage to facials etc. And honestly this is the only thing that has shown significant difference.

Microcurrent mode: Very very very strong microcurrent. I have seen users on reddit share it is higher than NuFace, but I personally haven't tried the latter. I did not have a good experience with this because I had broken capillaries the day after. This is even with being mindful of not using actives, using a good conductor etc. But I have extremely sensitive skin.

The newest one High Focus is HIFU based and the Ultra Tune is RF based. HIFU goes deeper to reach the SMAS layer. RF will not go as deep as it focuses on epidermal layers. Seems like HIFU is more more tightening/creating definition whereas RF benefits the skin's surface and helps with volume loss. Basically HIFU for chubby face and RF for thin hollowness. I ordered Ultra Tune. It seems like RF can treat more delicate areas but not HIFU. Since this is my first experience with any treatments so I chose the "gentler" machine. Also, the benefits suits my needs more.
