Thank you for this. No one seems to understand how sunscreen really works. You also need to look at the % in the ingredient list. My favorite is Clinique Super City Block, it has 7.3% Titanium Dioxide and 9.6% Zinc Oxide. I'll also use Supergoop Mineral which has 10.1% Zinc Oxide.

BRUSH ON BLOCK SHEER GENIUS MINERAL SUNSCREEN + MOISTURE SPF 50 Rating: 9.5/10 Overview: 50 SPF, $36 Wearability: No pilling under makeup, no white cast once settled in. Super super light, much lighter than Supergoop! and Drunk Elephant. Almost as comfortable as the Japanese/Korean brands, almost. But listen, I don’t think any mineral sunscreen is going to be that light, so for a mineral, it’s light. For everyday, it’s light. Plus, didn’t break out. Effectiveness: Passed the afternoon dog walk test! It’s always sunny in Dallas! I didn’t tan. Also felt totally normal to be wearing inside the office. Eye Sting: None at all! Even after sweating! Do I reach for it?: Every morning! I find myself reaching for this as part of my routine, which is hard to say for most Zinc sunscreens.

Because the dermatologist I go to and the one my friend goes to both recommend mineral sunscreens which sounds horrible because imagine being anything above a fitzpatrick scale 1 and being told you have to deal with white cast.

If you refuse to order online and need an FDA approved option, the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen is nice too but 2-3x the price of the Korean and Japanese options.

Great review!! Thank you for sharing. I'm also fair/light with reactive skin and what seems like rosacea. I'm yellowy olive, so I have to be careful with the tone of tints. Sometimes they turn me gray, sometimes orange. I only do mineral sunscreen because I had terrible reactions to Unseen Sunscreen and the PTR water drench with SPF 45.

I have the Unseen Sunscreen and I really like it. I have sensitive skin and I’ve worn it about 3-5 times so far and my skin isn’t affected by it. It’s almost translucent in colour so there is no white cast left behind. It’s very light weight.
