Editorial Summary: Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence is a cult fave lightweight sunscreen with high SPF and a nice scent. Most love how it absorbs quickly with little white cast and plays well under makeup. But heads up: the alcohol and fragrance can sting or dry out sensitive skin, and beware of fakes! Packaging changes add to the confusion but overall a solid choice if you tolerate it well.
Methodology: Analyzed 100+ Reddit comments from diverse skincare-related subreddits including AsianBeauty, SkincareAddiction, 30PlusSkinCare, and others, dated from June 2015 to June 2025, synthesizing common themes on efficacy, texture, scent, irritation, and authenticity concerns.

Biore UV Aqua rich
The Biore *is* scented, though. It has a fruity/floral scent on top of the alcoholy scent. Fragrance is on the ingredients list and the official website describes the scent as "white muget" aka lily of the valley. I know mine are genuine because I bought them from a local Asian beauty store. If your Biore didn't have a fragrance in the past, *that* may have been the fake.
Biore Aqua watery essence. Every.single.person in my life who hates sunscreen (and won't wear it), is changed by this product. I personally love it because I can put it on like a moisturizer by itself or I can apply it over my oil step. Either way it just soaks it in beautifully and it is a very effective SPF. It's also a Japanese product so it has much better sunscreen standards than the US.
I started gradually and found products I liked and others I didn’t, but I mostly fell in love with Japanese sunscreens (SkinAqua, Biore), which I like much more than Korean ones to this day.
Did you buy them within the same few months? They change their packaging regularly
I love you. This is so fabulous. Thank you neighbor.
This is why you buy important products from real shops. Biore is widely available in shops in most western countries now why are you on eBay?
