Editorial Summary: So this mineral sunscreen mostly blends well and isn’t sticky, but watch out if you’re super pale since white cast can be a thing. Some folks find it drying or flaky, so dry-skin peeps might want extra moisturizer. Works solid under makeup and has a nice matte finish. Just be sure you’re not buying a fake one!
Methodology: Analyzed 28 quotes from Reddit communities including 30PlusSkinCare, Sephora, SkincareAddiction, and traderjoes between June 2015 and June 2025, focusing on user experiences with texture, finish, white cast, and skin compatibility.

For mineral, cotz prime and protect is fantastic and sticks really well to the skin (especially nose). Neither of these feel sticky on the skin and work pretty well in their own or with makeup. I would also definitely recommend a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses too for extra coverage.
Only chemical spf’s don’t have white casts, this is mineral
How much did you use? I’ve never gotten a white cast from this one that didn’t disappear with more rubbing in
I actually like this a lot and thought the white cast was quite minimal. I’m Asian and tanned and have a hard time finding mineral sunscreen that doesn’t leave a white cast. I do however, always put on moisturizer before sunscreen. Maybe that combination works out well?
I didn’t have issues with lingering white cast and I kinda liked the texture (similar to a pore filling primer) however it made my skin feel quite dry
That’s interesting! I used it on my son and was amazed by how easily it blended in without leaving a white cast.
I couldn’t find the supergoop dupe last time I was there and I had to get this and I hate it.
I’m as fair as fair can be and still avoid most mineral sunscreens - they all leave a white cast unless I want to spend an hour rubbing it in. They tend to work well, though.
Hey, tried this stuff last year. When I went back to get more I couldn't find it and kinda forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder, glad you found something you like.
I’m so pale I glow in the dark and it left a white cast on me :( PS: yes I waited for it to absorb and it still left a cast on my face.
